About Us
History
IVRC was established in Singapore in 2005. The initial objective was to gain advantages via creation of a dedicated entity. The research centre would conduct evidence-based clinical research to benefit the local optometric profession and improve clinical eye care for the local population.
As a research centre and eyecare frontline space, IVRC wanted to:
- Raise the standard of primary eyecare in Singapore through public and private education
- Build our contacts and international network of practitioners, institutes and organisations
- Obtain instruments necessary to maintain a lead in the field
At this stage, the organisation has advanced and focuses solely on cutting-edge investigation and product analysis with an international scope. Decisions have been made to build on our specific advantages as a lab, while augmenting capacity & capability in key global industry directions.
Despite the strategic shift, I & Vision’s history and experience built our network, capabilities, values, and standards. As such, we will always be conscious of the downstream effects and implications of our work.
